Merlimont is a French municipality with 3348 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Montreuil and the canton of the same name, Étaples . The inhabitants are called Merlimontois .
geography
The seaside resort of Merlimont is located on the Opal Coast on the English Channel . Merlimont is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cucq in the north, Saint-Josse in the northeast, Saint-Aubin in the east, Airon-Notre-Dame and Rang-du-Fliers in the southeast and Berck in the south.
