Saint-Josse (also: Saint-Josse-sur-Mer , Flemish : Sint-Joost ) is a French municipality with 1,136 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016: Nord-Pas-de-Calais ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Montreuil and the canton of Étaples (until 2015: canton of Montreuil ). The inhabitants are called Judociens .
geography
Saint-Josse is close to the opal coast of the English Channel . The Canche limits the municipality to the north. Saint-Josse is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Étaples in the north, Tubersent and Bréxent-Énocq in the northeast, La Calotterie in the east, Sorrus in the southeast, Saint-Aubin in the south, Merlimont in the southwest and Cucq in the west.
