Maintenay is a French municipality with 426 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Montreuil and the canton of Auxi-le-Château .

geography

The municipality of Maintenay is located on the right bank of the Authie , which here forms the border with the Somme department , a few kilometers from its confluence with the English Channel . The seaside resorts of Berck and Fort-Mahon-Plage are about 20 kilometers west of Maintenay.

Neighboring municipalities of Maintenay are Buire-le-Sec in the north, Saint-Rémy-au-Bois in the east, Saulchoy in the south-east, Argoules in the south, Nampont in the south-west, Roussent in the west and Boisjean in the north-west.
