Alexandre Cuvillier (born June 17, 1986 in Cucq ) is a French football player .

Career

Cuvillier began playing football with local clubs around his birthplace Cucq in the Pas-de-Calais , including AC Le Touquet , who used to play in the second division. From there he moved to the youth team at Stade Reims in 2003 , where he moved up to the second division team in 2006. He made his debut for this when he played 1-1 against FC Libourne-St. Seurin came on in the 77th minute. This was followed by another assignment in the same season. In the following season he ran more regularly for Reims until he signed with US Boulogne during the 2007/08 winter break . At Boulogne he became a regular player in the following months and as such was able to move up to the first division with the team in 2009, where he was able to keep his regular place. Although the direct relegation followed at the end of the 2009/10 season, Cuvillier remained in the top division thanks to a loan deal to AS Nancy . He also played there regularly, although it was not as undisputed as before in Boulogne.

At the end of the year he was signed by Nancy for one million euros, but loaned out again during the 2011/12 winter break. His temporary employer was the second division RC Lens from his home region. Although he often appeared for the club, those responsible in Nancy saw themselves compelled to lend him again in the summer of 2012. The third loan in Cuvillier's career took place at SM Caen , where he became a regular on the team. In 2013 he returned to AS Nancy, which has meanwhile been relegated to the second division, and made it into the starting eleven there. In the summer of 2013, Cuvillier returned to Nancy. In July 2014 he moved to Stade Brest , who also play in Ligue 2 .
