The Qatar Total Open was a professional women's tennis tournament in the Premier 5 category and thus part of the 2013 WTA Tour . It took place between February 11 and 17, 2013 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha , Qatar and was the eleventh edition of the tournament.

In the individual, last year's winner Wiktoryja Asaranka won against Serena Williams , who nevertheless ousted Asarenka from position 1 in the world rankings. In doubles, the duo Liezel Huber / Lisa Raymond , who won last year, no longer competed together. In the final, the Italian duo Sara Errani / Roberta Vinci won against Nadeschda Petrowa / Katarina Srebotnik .

qualification

The qualification for the Qatar Total Open 2013 took place from February 9th to 10th, 2013. Eight qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
