The WTA Doha (official: Qatar Total Open ) is a women's tennis tournament of the WTA , which in Doha ( Qatar will be held). The tournament, which did not take place in 2009 and 2010, was re-added to the tournament calendar in 2011. In 2012, it was upgraded to a Premier 5 category , before switching categories with the tournament in Dubai every year since 2015 .
Venue
The tournament will be held in the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex , which opened in 1992. The main square initially had a capacity of 4,500, which was increased to 7,000 in 2008. The indoor area has 24 tennis courts.
