The WTA Adelaide (officially: Adelaide International ) is a women's tennis tournament of the WTA Tour , which was held from 1972 to 1988 in the Australian city ​​of Adelaide . They have played on hard courts since 1988, previously on grass.

From 2020 there will be another women's tournament in Adelaide, in the higher category WTA Premier. Adelaide won the bid after it was decided that Sydney would waive its rights as the venue for the previous WTA Sydney tournament .

The venue for the tournament in Adelaide is Memorial Drive Park , the main square will be modernized for this and will receive a roof structure.
