Chan Hao-ching ( Chinese 詹 皓 晴 , Pinyin Zhān Hàoqíng ; born September 19, 1993 in Taipei ) is a Taiwanese tennis player.
Career
Chan started playing tennis at the age of three. She is the younger sister of Latisha Chan , with whom she has often competed in doubles. Chan Hao-ching now only plays doubles.
Chan can boast six tournament victories on the ITF Women's Circuit . In 2012 she reached the round of 16 at the French Open alongside her sister Chan Yung-jan . At the WTA tournament in Pattaya , she reached the finals for the first time that same year.
In November 2012, she celebrated her first title win on the WTA Tour . At the side of Kristina Mladenovic , who plays for France, she won the Taipei Challenger tournament .
In early 2013, in Shenzhen , China , she and her sister defeated the Ukrainian-Russian pairing Buryachok / Solovyova . This was the first time that Chan made it into the top 50 of the double world rankings . In May followed, again alongside Mladenovic, her third WTA title; it was her first tournament win on clay. On June 23, 2014 she reached 18th place in the double ranking after winning the title at the lawn tournament in Eastbourne . At Wimbledon , she was next to Max Mirny in the mixed final soon after; they had to admit defeat to Samantha Stosur and Nenad Zimonjić 4: 6 and 2: 6.
In 2018 she won the silver medal in doubles at the Asian Games. At their sister's side, they lost the final against Xu Yifan / Yang Zhaoxuan 2: 6, 6: 1 and 9:11.
Chan Hao-ching reached her highest position in the double world rankings in June 2016 with 5th place.
In February 2015 she first appeared for the Taiwanese Fed Cup team ; So far she has played nine Fed Cup games (all doubles), of which she has won seven.
