The WTA Challenger Taipei (officially: The OEC Taipei WTA Ladies Open ) is a women's tennis tournament from the Challenger series , which was launched in 2012 and is also known as the WTA125s , with 160 world ranking points and prize money of 125,000 US dollars for the winners in singles and doubles. The tournament, the first in this WTA category, will be played on carpet at the Taipei Arena in Taipei .

From 2007 to 2011 the event was held as an ITF tournament ( ITF Taipei ) - in 2007 with prize money of 50,000 US dollars; from 2008, 150 world ranking points and 100,000 US dollars in prize money were awarded.
