Witalija Anatoljewna Djatschenko ( Russian Виталия Анатольевна Дьяченко ; born August 2, 1990 in Sochi , then USSR ) is a Russian tennis player .
Career
Dyachenko, who started tennis at the age of five, prefers the hard court for her game. In April 2007 she made her first appearance on the ITF Women's Circuit . She has already won 19 single titles at ITF tournaments and 13 double titles with changing partners.
On September 17, 2011, she celebrated her only double title on the WTA Tour at the WTA tournament in Tashkent alongside Eleni Daniilidou from Greece . With victories at the Challenger tournaments WTA Ladies Open 2014 in Taipei and there again in November 2019, Dyachenko has secured her two finals in individual WTA competitions so far.
In February 2015 she made her debut on the Russian Fed Cup team . Her double game against Poland , which she won in two straight sets, was her only use so far.
After her first round game of the US Open against Serena Williams in August 2015, which she had to give up in the second set, Dyachenko did not play a match on the women's tour until May 2016. She made her comeback at the $ 25,000 tournament in La Marsa, Tunisia, where she won her 13th ITF double title alongside Galina Voskoboyeva .
In June 2018 she reached the third round of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time at Wimbledon . In the first round she had defeated Marija Sharapova, who was seeded at 24, 6: 7 3 , 7: 6 3 , 6: 4.
