Fed Cup
Between 2004 and 2006 Schruff was part of the German Fed Cup team . In April 2005 she managed her first victory against Indonesian Wynne Prakusya. In protest against the alleged unequal treatment of players by team boss Barbara Rittner and because of the lack of team spirit in her opinion, she refused - together with Martina Müller - to travel to Beijing in 2006 for the game against China . The German Tennis Association , on the other hand, named excessive claims for initial bonuses as a point of contention. Schruff and Müller were then removed from the A-team.
