The left-hander, who turned professional in 1994, won three WTA tournaments in singles and, with different partners, 16 titles in doubles.
She celebrated her individual titles in 2004 in Casablanca and Estoril and in 2007 in Acapulco . In 2008 she fell out of the top 100 of the WTA world rankings for the first time since 2000 . After her first round defeat at the French Open in 2009 against the Swiss Timea Bacsinszky , she announced her immediate resignation from professional tennis. The former top 30 player's career lasted a total of 15 years.
From 2002 to 2006 Loit played eleven games for the French Fed Cup team . She was also part of the team in the 2003 final victory over the USA.
