Nadija Kitschenok ( Ukrainian Надія Кіченок , English transcription Nadiya Kichenok ; born July 20, 1992 in Dnipropetrovsk ) is a Ukrainian tennis player . Her twin sister Ljudmyla is also a professional tennis player and her constant double partner.
Career
Nadija Kitschenok mainly plays on the ITF Women's Circuit . She has already reached the individual finals of an ITF tournament eleven times and won four titles. In doubles, she and her twin sister Ljudmyla have already reached 45 finals, in which they celebrated 23 tournament victories.
In April 2010 she played in Kharkiv against the USA for the first time for the Ukraine in the Fed Cup . Since then she has been able to record three wins in eight games on this team.
At the turn of the year 2013/2014 she was with her sister in the final of the WTA tournament in Shenzhen , in which they were defeated by the pairing Monica Niculescu / Klára Zakopalová in two straight sets. In Melbourne , Nadija Kitschenok was able to qualify for the first time for the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament in January 2014 , but she did not get past the first round. The same thing happened to her at the following French Open .
As in the previous year, the 2015 season began in Shenzhen . Again she reached the final with her sister, which they won this time against the pairing Liang Chen / Wang Yafan 6: 4 and 7: 6 6 .
In 2018, she and her sister won the WTA Elite Trophy , the WTA's year-end tournament in Zhuhai .
