The Ukrainian Fed Cup team is the national tennis team of Ukraine used in the Fed Cup . The Fed Cup (until 1995 Federation Cup) is the most important competition for national teams in women's tennis, analogous to the Davis Cup for men.
history
Ukraine first took part in the Fed Cup in 1993. In 2009, they made it into the world group for the first time with a 5-0 win in the play-offs against Argentina . In the first round the team lost 4-1 to defending champions Italy .
