The Japanese Fed Cup team is the national tennis team of Japan used in the Fed Cup . The Fed Cup (until 1995 Federation Cup) is the most important competition for national teams in women's tennis, analogous to the Davis Cup for men.

history

Japan took part in the Fed Cup for the first time in 1964. Their greatest success so far was their entry into the semi-finals in 1996.
