The Czech Fed Cup team is the national tennis team of the Czech Republic that is used in the Fed Cup . The Fed Cup (until 1995 Federation Cup) is the most important national competition in women's tennis, analogous to the Davis Cup for men.
history
The Czechoslovakia won the Fed Cup five times so far. The Czech Republic first took part in this nation comparison in 1993 as an independent nation. 2011 succeeded the first Fed Cup victory, in 2012 the title was defended. On November 9, 2014 , the Czech team won the cup again; in the final it defeated Germany 3-1 in Prague . In 2015 he defended his title against Russia and in 2016 against France . Another title win followed in 2018 against the United States .
The most successful player is Helena Suková , who played a total of 73 games for Czechoslovakia in 13 years. Of her 56 singles, she was able to win 45. She won seven of her 12 victorious doubles games alongside Hana Mandlíková , the most successful Czech Fed Cup player in doubles with 15 victories.
