2014 Fed Cup Final

The 2014 Fed Cup Final was the 52nd final of the national tennis teams for women and was played between the Czech Republic and Germany . The game was played on November 8th and 9th, 2014 in the O₂ Arena in Prague .

It was the second time that the two teams face each other in a final. In the first final, which was played in Vancouver in 1983 , Czechoslovakia won 2-1. The Czech Republic together with Czechoslovakia have won the Fed Cup seven times ( 1975 , 1983 , 1984 , 1985 , 1988 , 2011 , 2012 ) and Germany twice ( 1987 , 1992 ). Overall, the two teams faced each other seven times, of which Germany won a game 2-1 in 1987 . The last meeting was in Stuttgart in 2012 , which the Czech Republic won 4-1.
