Laillé ( Breton : Lalieg ) is a French municipality with 5026 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . Laillé belongs to the Arrondissement of Rennes and is part of the canton of Bruz . The inhabitants are called Lailléens .
geography
Laillé is about 20 kilometers south-southwest of Rennes ; the landscape is called Campagne Lailléenne . The Vilaine limits the municipality to the west. Laillé is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bruz in the north and northwest, Pont-Péan in the northeast, Orgères in the east and northeast, Chanteloup in the east and southeast, Crevin in the southeast, Bourg-des-Comptes in the south and Guichen in the west.
Route nationale 137 (here also Europastraße 3 ) runs through the municipality . The place has a train station on the Rennes – Redon line .
Both the Roche-qui-Chôme menhir and the Roman road from Condate to Condivincum (from Rennes to Nantes ) speak for an early settlement of the municipality. For the period from the 9th century onwards, the existence of a settlement is considered certain.
