La Chapelle-des-Fougeretz is about six kilometers north of Rennes . La Chapelle-des-Fougeretz is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Mézière in the north, Melesse in the northeast, Saint-Grégoire in the east, Montgermont in the south and Pacé in the west.
The former National Route 137 runs through the municipality .
