Noyal-sur-Vilaine is a French municipality with 6008 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Rennes and the canton of Châteaugiron . The inhabitants are called Noyalais (es) .
geography
The Vilaine forms the northern boundary of Noyal-sur-Vilaine. Noyal-sur-Vilaine is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Acigné in the north, Brécé and Servon-sur-Vilaine in the northeast, Domagné in the east, Ossé in the southeast, Châteaugiron in the south, Domloup in the southwest and Cesson-Sévigné in the west.
Route nationale 157 (which is to be upgraded to the A81 ) runs through the municipality . The Noyal - Acigné station is on the Paris – Brest railway line .
