Domagné ( Breton: Dovanieg ) is a French municipality with 2,305 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and the canton of Châteaugiron (until 2015: canton of Châteaubourg ). The inhabitants are called Domagnéens .
geography
Domagné is located about 22 kilometers east-southeast of Rennes on the Yaigne River . Domagné is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Châteaubourg in the north, Saint-Didier in the northeast, Louvigné-de-Bais in the east and southeast, Piré-Chancé in the south, Saint-Aubin-du-Pavail in the southwest, Ossé in the west, Noyal-sur- Vilaine in the west and north-west and Servon-sur-Vilaine in the north-west.
