Forges-la-Forêt ( Breton : Gorelioù-ar-C'hoad , Gallo : Lez Forj-la-Forést ) is a French commune with 265 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in the region Brittany ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and is part of the canton of La Guerche-de-Bretagne (until 2015: canton of Retiers ). The inhabitants are called Fèvres .

Forges-la-Forêt is about 40 kilometers southeast of Rennes . Forges-la-Forêt is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rannée in the north and northeast, Chelun in the east, Eancé in the southeast, Martigné-Ferchaud in the south and west and Retiers in the northwest.
