La Chapelle-Saint-Aubert ( Breton : Chapel-Sant-Alverzh ; Gallo : La Chapell Saent-Aubèrt ) is a French municipality with 439 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and is part of the canton Fougères-1 (until 2015: canton Fougères-Nord ). The inhabitants are called Chapelois .

geography

La Chapelle-Saint-Aubert is located about nine kilometers west-southwest of Fougères . The Couesnon limits the community in the south. La Chapelle-Saint-Aubert is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Sauveur-des-Landes in the north, Romagné in the east and northeast, Billé in the southeast and Rives-du-Couesnon in the south and west.
