Javené ( Breton : Yaoueneg ; Gallo : Javenaé ) is a French municipality with 2067 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . Javené belongs to the arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and the canton Fougères-1 (until 2015: canton Fougères-Sud ).

geography

Javené is in the east of Brittany. The Nançon rises on the northern municipal boundary . Javené is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lécousse in the north, Fougères in the north and northeast, la Selle-en-Luitré in the east, Luitré-Dompierre with Luitré in the southeast, Parcé in the south, Billé in the south and southwest, and Romagné in the west and northwest.

Route nationale 12 runs along the northern edge of the municipality .
