La Chapelle-Janson ( Breton : Chapel-Yent ; Gallo : La Chapell Janczon is a) French municipality with 1,450 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and is part of the canton Fougères-2 (until 2015: canton Fougères-Nord ). The inhabitants are called Jansonnais .

La Chapelle-Janson is about seven kilometers east of Fougères . La Chapelle-Janson is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fleurigné in the north and west, Larchamp in the east and northeast, La Pellerine in the east and southeast, Luitré-Dompierre with Luitré in the south and La Selle-en-Luitré in the west and southwest.
