Poilley ( Breton : Polieg ; Gallo : Polhaé ) is a French municipality with 378 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and is part of the canton Fougères-2 (until 2015: canton Louvigné-du-Désert ).

Poilley is about twelve kilometers north-northwest of Fougères . Poilley is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Le Ferré in the north and northwest, Saint-Georges-de-Reintembault in the north and northeast, Villamée in the east, Le Châtellier and Montours in the west and southwest.
