Parigné ( Breton : Parinieg ; Gallo : Parinyaè ) is a French municipality with 1336 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and is part of the canton Fougères-2 (until 2015: canton Fougères-Nord ). The inhabitants are called Parignéens .

geography

Parigné is about eight kilometers north-northeast of Fougères . Parigné is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villamée in the north, Louvigné-du-Désert in the north-east, Landéan in the east, Laignelet in the south and south-east, Lécousse in the south and south-west, Saint-Germain-en-Coglès in the west and south-west and La Châtellier in the west and northwest.
