Saint-M'Hervé ( Breton : Sant-Merve ) is a French commune in the Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and the canton Vitré (until 2015: canton Vitré-Est ). The municipality has 1,356 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), who are called Saint-M'Hervéens .
geography
Saint-M'Hervé is about 43 kilometers east-northeast of Rennes . The Vilaine delimits the municipality in the south and in the east. Saint-M'Hervé is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montautour in the north, La Croixille in the northeast, Bourgon in the east and southeast, La Chapelle-Erbrée and Erbrée in the south, Vitré in the southwest and Balazé in the west.
