Louvigné-du-Désert ( Breton : Louvigneg-to-Dezerzh ) is a French municipality with 3374 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and the canton Fougères-2 .
geography
Louvigné-du-Désert lies on the Nançon and is bordered by the River Laif to the west and the Airon to the east. Louvigné-du-Désert is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Brice-de-Landelles and Les Logis-Marchis in the north, Landivy in the east, La Bazouge-du-Désert and Landéan in the south, Parigné and Villarnée in the southwest, Mellé in the west and Monthault in the northwest.
The former route nationale 177 runs through the municipality .
