Brielles ( Breton : Briellòu ; Gallo : Berièll ) is a French municipality with 687 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and is part of the canton of La Guerche-de-Bretagne (until 2015: canton of Argentré-du-Plessis ). The inhabitants are called Briellois .

Brielles is about 41 kilometers east-southeast of Rennes . Brielles is surrounded by the neighboring communities Argentré-du-Plessis in the north and north-west, Le Pertre in the east and north-east, Cuillé in the south and Gennes-sur-Seiche in the west and south-west.
