Marpiré (in Gallo "Marpirae", in Breton "Marbererg") is a municipality in the French department of Ille-et-Vilaine in Brittany . It belongs to the canton of Vitré (until 2015 canton Vitré-Ouest ) in the arrondissement of Fougères-Vitré . It borders in the north on Val-d'Izé , in the north-east on Landavran , in the east on Champeaux , in the south on Saint-Jean-sur-Vilaine , in the south-west on Châteaubourg and in the north-west on La Bouëxière .
