The Canton Vitré-Ouest was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement Fougères-Vitré , in the Ille-et-Vilaine and the region Bretagne .
history
The canton was created in 1845 from parts of the previous cantons Vitré-1 and Vitré-2. From 1845 to 2015 thirteen municipalities belonged to the canton of Vitré-Ouest. With the reorganization of the cantons in France, the canton was dissolved in 2015 and the communes moved to other cantons.
