The canton of Le Sel-de-Bretagne was a French canton in the Arrondissement Redon , in the Département Ille-et-Vilaine and in the region of Brittany until 2015 ; its main town was Le Sel-de-Bretagne .

history

The canton was established on February 15, 1790. From 1801 to 2015, eight municipalities belonged to the canton of Le Sel-de-Bretagne, which until 1967 was called canton Le Sel. With the reorganization of the cantons in France, the canton was dissolved in 2015 and the communes moved to other cantons.

The canton was in the south of the Ille-et-Vilaine department.
