Le Sel-de-Bretagne , in Breton Ar Sal , is a commune in the French department of Ille-et-Vilaine in Brittany . It belongs to the Arrondissement Redon and borders in the north on Le Petit-Fougeray , in the east on Saulnières and Tresbœuf , in the south on La Bosse-de-Bretagne and in the west on Pancé . It was the main town (chief lieu) of the canton of Le Sel-de-Bretagne and was then defeated to the canton of Bain-de-Bretagne . The settlement area is approximately 75 meters above sea level. The residents call themselves Sellois .
