Pipriac ( Breton : Presperieg ) is a French municipality with 3745 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Redon and the Canton of Redon . The inhabitants are called Pipriatain (e) s .
geography
Pipriac lies on the Canut River . Pipriac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Maure-de-Bretagne in the north, Lieuron in the northeast, Guipry-Messac with Guipry in the east, Saint-Ganton in the southeast, Saint-Just in the south and southwest, Bruc-sur-Aff in the west and Saint- Séglin in the northwest.
Pipriac is on the former Route National 777 . It had a remote station on the Châteaubriant – Ploërmel railway line .
