Circuit de Lohéac
Lohéac gained international fame particularly through its Circuit de Lohéac race track, which is currently the venue for an annual FIA rallycross world championship. Over 70,000 spectators were registered for this event in 2014 and 2015 (over the respective weekends). The first rallycross race in France was held on a temporary circuit in Lohéac on September 5, 1976, before the first of two permanent rallycross tracks from 1977 to 1985 included at least one run at the French Rallycross Championship. In addition, two races for the European Rallycross Championship took place here in 1978 and 1983. On September 6, 1986, the previous racetrack was replaced by the current facility, which also includes the automobile museum located on the edge. This new Circuit de Lohéac was also the venue for the French races of the FIA Rallycross European Championship series in 1988, 1993, 2001 and 2013.
