Guipry-Messac is a French commune in the Ille-et-Vilaine in Brittany . It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2016 through the merger of the former municipalities of Messac and Guipry . The residents call themselves the Guissacois or Guissacoises.

Neighboring municipalities are Saint-Malo-de-Phily in the north, Pléchâtel in the northeast, Bain-de-Bretagne and La Noë-Blanche in the east, Grand-Fougeray in the southeast, Langon and Sainte-Anne-sur-Vilaine in the south, and Saint-Ganton in the southwest, Lieuron and Pipriac in the west and Guignen and Lohéac in the northwest.
