Lassy , Lazig in Breton , is a commune in the French department of Ille-et-Vilaine in Brittany . It belongs to the canton of Guichen in the Arrondissement of Redon . It borders Goven to the north, Guichen to the east, Guignen to the south and Baulon to the west . The settlement area is on average more than 80 meters above sea level. The residents call themselves Lasséen .

Earlier place names were Lassic (1219) and Lardiz (1330). The name "Lassy" first appeared in the 16th century.
