Chanteloup Town Hall

Chanteloup ( Breton : Kantlou ; Gallo : Chaunteló ) is a French municipality with 1815 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . Chanteloup belongs to the Arrondissement of Redon and is part of the canton of Bain-de-Bretagne (until 2015: canton of Le Sel-de-Bretagne ). The inhabitants are called Chanteloupiens .

Chanteloup is located about 16 kilometers south-southeast of Rennes . Chanteloup is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bourgbarré in the north, Corps-Nuds in the northeast, Brie in the east, Saulnières in the southeast, Le Petit-Fougeray in the south, Crevin in the southwest, Laillé in the west and Orgères in the northwest.
