The SAG Solarstrom AG , based in Freiburg was a German producer of solar energy -Industrie. The company founded in 1998 by Georg Salvamoser and Alfred Theodor Ritter financed, built and operated solar power plants and was one of the largest manufacturer-independent providers of solar power systems in Germany. The company operated internationally and also offered services for photovoltaic systems .

On December 13, 2013, the company reported to the Freiburg i. Br. Bankruptcy. The remaining assets were transferred to SAG Solar GmbH & Co. KG , which was founded in 2014 and sold to the Chinese Shunfeng Group.

The listing ended on May 19, 2015.

The company's power plant portfolio and its subsidiaries comprised more than a hundred of their own plants. Together with the Berlin solar module manufacturer Solon AG and E.ON Bayern AG , the company planned and operated the largest photovoltaic system in the world at the time, the Solarfeld Erlasee solar power plant , in 2005/2006 .

In the 2012 financial year, the company achieved an EBIT of EUR 8.9 million (previous year: EUR 3.8 million) and sales of EUR 188.6 million (previous year: EUR 261.8 million). The consolidated profit was 1.1 million euros after taxes (previous year: −5.9 million euros). The project planning and plant construction business area generated 73% of total sales.
