Shunfeng International Clean Energy (SFCE) is a Chinese photovoltaic manufacturer and system operator. It was founded in 2005 as Jiangsu Shunfeng Photovoltaic Technology and has been listed on the stock exchange under its current name since 2011. The company is officially registered in the Cayman Islands .
In 2014 Shunfeng took over the at least equally large competitor Suntech Power (Wuxi Suntech) as well as the German companies SAG Solarstrom (with meteocontrol ) and Sunways .
In addition, Shunfeng has a 63% stake in the American Suniva , 59% in the LED manufacturer Lattice Power , 30% in Powin Energy and 25% in Everpower .
Shunfeng owns solar parks with an installed capacity of 1,780 MW , mainly in the Chinese provinces of Gansu , Xinjiang and Ningxia .
Shunfeng issued a profit warning for 2016 because several subsidiaries posted losses and solar parks with several hundred MW could not be connected to the Chinese power grid.
