Amanlis ( Breton : Amanliz ; Gallo : Amanli ) is a French municipality with 1719 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and is part of the canton of Janzé . The inhabitants are called Amanlissiens .
geography
Amanlis is located about 15 kilometers southeast of Rennes on the Seiche . Amanlis is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Châteaugiron in the north, Saint-Aubin-du-Pavail in the north-east, Piré-Chancé with Piré-sur-Seiche in the east, Janzé in the south, Corps-Nuds in the west and south-west, and Nouvoitou in the west and north-west.
