Eancé ( Breton : Aentieg ) is a French municipality with 403 inhabitants (1 January 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the Arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and the Pays de la Roche aux Fées community association founded in 1993 .

The municipality of Eancé is located about 50 kilometers south-east of Rennes in the far east of Brittany on the border with the Pays de la Loire region . The Semnon , a left tributary of the Vilaine, flows through the 16.5 km² forestless and agriculturally intensively used municipal area .

Neighboring municipalities of Eancé are Chelun in the north, La Rouaudière and Senonnes (both in the Mayenne department ) in the east, Pouancé ( Maine-et-Loire ) in the south-east, Martigné-Ferchaud in the south and west and Forges-la-Forêt in the north-west.

There are 23 farms in the community (grain cultivation, dairy farming, cattle breeding).

Immediately south-west of the municipality runs the D 41 / D 775 trunk road, which is partially developed like a motorway and connects the cities of Rennes and Angers .
