Visseiche ( Breton : Gwisec'h ; Gallo : Visèch ) is a French municipality with 823 inhabitants (1 January 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the Arrondissement Fougères-Vitré , the canton La Guerche-de-Bretagne and the community association Vitré Communauté . The inhabitants are called Visseichais .
geography
Visseiche is located about 46 kilometers east-southeast of Rennes in eastern Brittany on the Seiche river . Visseiche is surrounded by the neighboring communities Bais in the north, Domalain in the east and northeast, La Guerche-de-Bretagne in the east, Rannée in the southeast, Arbrissel in the south, Retiers in the southwest and Marcillé-Robert in the west.
