Domalain ( Breton : Domalan ; Gallo : Domalaen ) is a French municipality with 2,018 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and is part of the canton of La Guerche-de-Bretagne (until 2015: canton of Argentré-du-Plessis ). The inhabitants are called Domalinois .
geography
Domalain is about 36 kilometers east of Rennes . This is where the Quincampoix rises , a tributary of the Seiche , which flows through the southern municipality. Domalain is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Étrelles in the north, Argentré-du-Plessis in the northeast, Saint-Germain-du-Pinel in the east, Moutiers in the southeast, La Guerche-de-Bretagne in the south, Visseiche in the southwest, Bais in the west and Vergéal in the north-west.
