Saint-Hilaire-des-Landes ( Breton : Sant-Eler-al-Lann ) is a French municipality with 1038 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany .

The municipality is located about 41 kilometers northeast of Rennes and 37 kilometers south of Mont Saint-Michel , on the banks of the Minette River .

The name is derived from the former bishop of Poitiers , Hilary of Poitiers .
