Luitré-Dompierre is a French commune with 1,851 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the Arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and to the cantons Fougères-1 and Fougères-2 .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 by amalgamating the previous municipalities of Luitré and Dompierre-du-Chemin , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are located in Luitré.

The municipality is located around ten kilometers southeast of Fougères on the border with the neighboring Mayenne department . The Cantache and Couesnon rivers cross the municipality in their upper reaches. Neighboring communities are:
