Dompierre-du-Chemin ( Breton : Dompêr-an-Hent ; Gallo : Donpièrr ) is a village and a commune déléguée in the French commune of Luitré-Dompierre with 556 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in the region of Brittany . The inhabitants are called Dompierrais .
The municipality of Dompierre-du-Chemin merged with Luitré on January 1, 2019 to form the Commune nouvelle Luitré-Dompierre. It belonged to the arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and was part of the canton Fougères-1 (until 2015: canton Fougères-Sud ).
geography
Dompierre-du-Chemin is about ten kilometers south-southeast of Fougères . The Couesnon borders the Commune déléguée in the south. The municipality of Dompierre-du-Chemin was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Luitré in the north and east, Princé in the southeast, Châtillon-en-Vendelais in the south and southwest and Parcé in the west.
