Saint-Germain-en-Coglès ( Breton : Sant-Jermen-Gougleiz ) is a French municipality with 2051 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement Fougères-Vitré and the canton Antrain (until 2015: canton Saint-Brice-en-Coglès ). The inhabitants are called Germainais .
geography
Saint-Germain-en-Coglès is located about 45 km northeast of Rennes . The river Minette has its source on the southern border of the municipality. Saint-Germain-en-Coglès is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montours in the north and north-west, Le Châtellier in the north-east, Parigné in the east and north-east, Lécousse in the south-east, Romagné in the south, Saint-Sauveur-des-Landes in the south-west and Saint-Étienne -en-Coglès to the west.
The former route nationale 155 (today's D155) runs through the municipality .
