Val-Couesnon is a French commune with 4,191 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the arrondissement of Fougères-Vitré and the canton of Antrain .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 by amalgamating the previous municipalities of Antrain , La Fontenelle , Saint-Ouen-la-Rouërie and Tremblay , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Antrain.
